So why are we all so stupid?
It’s just a question I’ve been wondering lately. And, I’m not talking about Massachusetts drivers or about why some of us go to grad school. What I am talking about is the way we react to and interact with each other. I notice it all the time: while I listen to my friends talk about recent social or dating interactions, while I stand at the latest party watching the social chaos, or while I sit at the coffee shop listening to other people talk. It’s pretty amazing that we actually ever understand each other when you really think about it. So, why are we so stupid? I suspect we’re so stupid because we’re human and being stupid is what makes us delightfully alive. But I really don’t have the answers; all I have is the evidence of your and my stupidity. (Especially my stupidity.) And I’m not judging, I’m just…noticing because we’re all stupid and we just can’t help it.
