Garbage!
So, the last 2 places I lived I never locked the door. No, I’m really not joking. The door was rarely locked and usually only when I was traveling. Now that I’ve moved I’ve started locking the door to my most recent place. It’s partly that I have a door that opens to the world and partly that I live in a more populated area. It’s also because while, I’ve always felt perfectly safe I’ve also felt that perhaps some of the neighbors were slightly off.
Well today the woman with the apartment next to mine asked if I’d heard the noise last night. I hadn’t. Apparently one of our neighbors, I think one of the ones in the house across the street (crazy!) was digging through our trash. She came out and told him not to. He told her to go back inside and have another drink. Then he called the cops on her claiming she threatened him. *laugh* Amusingly he ended up with a 25 dollar fine and nothing happened to her.
Now I feel that I should invest in a paper shredder.
