Not Our Wedding
So weddings are all about compromise and mostly not about you the couple. These are both things I pretty much realized walking into the process. So this post is going to be about Not Our Wedding. It’s about the things I *loved* that were impractical because either a) they were too expensive, b) too far away, or c) just not going to happen for some other reason beyond our control.
Location: After thinking about it I’d get married at a Library. If you’re feeling doubtful check out these pictures/links. However, I don’t want to pay the fee required around these parts. So, for sanity’s sake we’ll do without.
Used to be a library now a function space:

Some places even let you have dinner in the study room!

Dress:
I would wear something cute and tea length. Let’s be honest as someone who is short a long dress can be a tad bit overwhelming. Sadly my mom seemed like she’d be beyond horrified. So I got a dress that while still old fashioned isn’t really the cute little dress I had in mind.
This amazing dress from The Selfish Seamstress would be awesome

Or this adorable antique dress
Or this dress which is not short but is a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
The fun part about wedding planning is getting to look at pretty stuff even if you don’t end up picking it because you’re a reasonable person.
